Humana Names Florida Commercial Market President

TAMPA, Fla.-( Business Wire )-Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) has named Tim Love president of its Florida commercial operations.
Love is Humana’s senior commercial executive for the company’s Florida markets, which include South Florida, Central Florida and North Florida.
Humana is one of Florida’s leading health benefits companies with nearly 350,000 commercial members, 2.6 million specialty benefits members and nearly 80,000 individual health plan members statewide. Humana has more than 4,500 associates in Florida.
Love oversees and has responsibility for the overall commercial operations of Humana’s Florida market, as well as developing and implementing strategic objectives. Love, who reports to Humana Southeast Commercial Operations CEO Craig Drablos, has been Humana’s South Florida commercial market president for the past two years.
“Tim has proven himself to be an outstanding market leader for Humana in South Florida,” said Drablos, “and with all of the changes occurring in our industry, we are aligning our products and services on a statewide basis, with one leader to guide us throughout all of Florida.”

Prior to joining Humana in February 2008, Love was president of Harborside Mortgage of Florida for seven years. Love also served seven years with United Healthcare of Florida in senior sales and marketing positions in Tampa.
Love’s 19 years of insurance industry and health care sector experience also include time with New York Life Insurance Company in Dallas as sales director, two years as regional sales director for QualMed Inc., a Colorado Springs regional health plan, and seven years as assistant vice president with Lincoln National Life in Fort Wayne, IN., and Colorado Springs.
Love received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Emory University in Atlanta.
