GlaxoSmithKline - Worst Performing Pharmaceutical

gsk New York, July 27th (TradersHuddle.com) - The market ended the trading session lower with the S&P 500 losing 0.1%. Stocks of Pharmaceutical Companies also traded lower, with NYSE Drug index ending the trading session at 283.09, which represents -0.01% versus the previous tradings session close. The Drug index was mixed with 8 out of 15 components trading higher.

The sector's top performer today was Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) closing the trading session at $36.1 representing 1.86%. versus the previous trading session price action. Eli Lilly, the pharmaceutical company maker of Prozac, shares have defined support at $32.82 and resistance at $35.60.

Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) was also among the top performers, closing the trading session at $15.27 representing 1.66% from its previous close. Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company maker of Viagra and Lipitor has calculated support and resistance levels at $14.00 and $15.10 respectively. The other top performer was Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN), which closed the trading session at $54.51 representing 1.57% from the previous trading session.

The sector's worst performer today was GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK) that closed the trading session at $36.22 or -1.42% from the previous close. GlaxoSmithKline, the U.K. based pharmaceutical and health related consumer products maker shares have defined support at $35.70 and resistance at $38.00. Also among the worst performers was Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO), which closed the trading session at $85.08 representing -1.17% from the previous trading session.
