ATI Names Richard J. Harshman President and Chief Operating Officer

PITTSBURGH-( Business Wire )-

L. Patrick Hassey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:ATI) announced today that effective August 1, 2010, Richard J. Harshman, 54, will become President and Chief Operating Officer. He will report to Mr. Hassey.

Mr. Harshman has served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer since 2003. He has served as CFO since 2001.

Mr. Harshman will have operating responsibility for ATI’s High Performance Metals, Flat-Rolled Products, and Engineered Products business segments as well as Strategic Sourcing, Information Technologies, Investor Relations, and ATI’s Trust Investment Council, which is responsible for the Company’s pension investment strategies.
