S&P 500's Top Performers :CFN , M , NTRS

New York, August 11th (TradersHuddle.com) - The S&P 500 index is lower trading at 1092.93, which represents -2.51% versus its previous close. The broad market index is having an broad decline with more than 85% of S&P 500 components on the red.

CareFusion (NYSE:CFN) is the S&P 500's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $23.53 representing 9.95% versus the previous trading session. Shares of CareFusion, the provider of health care products like IV pumps and patient identification systems have defined support at $20.86 and resistance at $21.93.

Macy's (NYSE:M) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $20.25 representing 4.49% from its previous close. Macy's, the department store operator and owner of the iconic New York Store in 34th Street has calculated support and resistance levels at $18.25 and $19.98 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Northern Trust (NASDAQ:NTRS), which is trading at $49.48 representing 0.69% from the previous close.

The S&P 500's worst performers include Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM) that is trading at $33.67 or -6.47% from the previous close. Shares of Broadcom, the provider of chips that enable broadband digital data transmission have defined support at $35.80 and resistance at $38.47. Also among the worst performers Titanium Metals (NYSE:TIE), which is trading at $18.95 representing -6.1% from the previous trading session.

Benchmark crude for September delivery is also trading lower at $78.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange lower by $-1.91 from the previous trading session.

The S&P 500 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 10421.4, which represents -2.09% from previous close, the NASDAQ on the other hand is trading at 2212.07 that represents -2.86% from previous close.
