Telenor Pakistan distinguished itself from the competing submissions for its execution of data-warehouse-driven business practices that generated significant business value. Telenor Pakistan won in the category of Enterprise Business Intelligence and will be among those honored this week at the TDWI World Conference.
As the fastest growing mobile operator in the country, Telenor Pakistan has seen a high return on investment from better business intelligence in micro-segmentation, cross-selling and up-selling. By integrating its business intelligence with customer care, Telenor Pakistan has delivered better communications experiences to its customers and decreased customer churn.
Arslan Javed, Telenor Pakistan director business intelligence and consumer insights, said that after setting up the robust Teradata enterprise data warehouse, the company has relied on Teradata business intelligence applications to achieve its objectives of growth and high customer service.
This is the second consecutive award Telenor Pakistan has earned from TDWI. In 2009 the company received a Best Practices award in the Enterprise Data Warehouse category.
"Telenor's significant return on investment and raid growth proves that companies capable of making better operational decisions faster because of their business intelligence tools will win in the marketplace," said Randy Lea, vice president of Teradata product and service marketing. "Teradata technology has helped Telenor Pakistan make smarter revenue-generating business decisions every day."
The industry-celebrated best practices awards are presented each year to companies demonstrating excellence in developing, deploying, and maintaining business intelligence and data warehousing applications. Winners are chosen by a panel of independent judges who have expertise in business intelligence and data warehousing.
