Novo Nordisk - Worst Performing Pharmaceutical

New York, August 25th (TradersHuddle.com) - The market ended the trading session higher with the S&P 500 adding 0.33%. Stocks of Pharmaceutical Companies also traded higher, with NYSE Drug index ending the trading session at 284.26, which represents 0.47% versus the previous tradings session close.
The Drug index was very strong with 13 out of 15 components trading higher.
The sector's top performer today was Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN) closing the trading session at $51.84 representing 1.53%. versus the previous trading session price action. Amgen, the biotechnology company, shares have defined support at $53.04 and resistance at $56.14.
Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) was also among the top performers, closing the trading session at $15.99 representing 1.07% from its previous close. Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company maker of Viagra and Lipitor has calculated support and resistance levels at $14.00 and $16.60 respectively. The other top performer was Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY), which closed the trading session at $34.31 representing 1% from the previous trading session.
The sector's worst performer today was Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO) that closed the trading session at $81.77 or -1.8% from the previous close. Novo Nordisk, the Denmark based biopharmaceutical company focused on diabetes care shares have defined support at $85.50 and resistance at $90.63. Also among the worst performers was JNJ (NYSE:JNJ), which closed the trading session at $57.98 representing -0.05% from the previous trading session.
