Oberlin Resident Wins UPS Racing Experience

CLEVELAND-( Business Wire )-

Margaret Pfenninger of Oberlin, Ohio, is the winner of a trip for two to the Sept. 11 NASCAR race at Richmond International Raceway, courtesy of UPS Racing. A self-described life-long fan of NASCAR, Pfenninger won the VIP trip by participating in the UPS $100,000 Trackside Challenge Instant Win Game and Sweepstakes on UPS.com/racing.

“I was watching a NASCAR race earlier this season and I saw the contest come up on the screen,” said Pfenninger. “I went on the UPS website and put in my tracking numbers for the game, and it wasn’t too long after that I found out I had won the trip.”

The UPS $100,000 Trackside Challenge Instant Win Game and Sweepstakes also gave fans an opportunity to win multiple instant prizes by entering their UPS tracking numbers for game plays and answering trivia questions.

Joining Pfenninger for a behind-the-scenes look at UPS Racing will be her husband, Carl. The couple will take tours of the No. 6 UPS hauler, garage and pit areas, meet with the driver of the No. 6 UPS Ford, David Ragan, and watch the race from atop the team’s pit box.

“The Trackside Challenge game was a huge success for UPS and we’re excited to have such big race fans like Margaret and Carl attending the race with us in Richmond,” said Ron Rogowski, UPS vice president, global sponsorships and events. “The contest was a great way for us to reach out to customers and fans through our NASCAR sponsorship and provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the track.”

The Pfenningers have been NASCAR fans for many years. Margaret has attended races in both California and Las Vegas, while Carl’s only live NASCAR experience came when the Series still competed on the beaches in Daytona.

“We love racing and are big fans of short tracks, so Richmond is the perfect race for us to be attending,” said Pfenninger. “We’ve never had the chance to be in the garage or down with the drivers and the teams, so I’m really looking forward to all of the excitement and seeing everyone.”
