Nordstrom Jumped the Most in the S&P 500

jwnNew York, September 2nd (Tradershuddle.com) – Shares of Nordstron (NYSE:JWN) jumped the most in the S&P 500 after its shares rallied 8.05% to $32.76.

 

Nordstrom (NYSE:JWN), the high-end department store operator, jumped after the retailer reported better than expected August same-store sales. Nordstrom said same-store sales climbed 6.3%, when analyst expected a gain of 5.9%. The back to school shopping season was not as bad as many had feared.

 

The move to the upside came with above average volume; 6.93 million shares traded, 1.84 times Nordstrom’s average 90day volume of 3.76 million shares.

 

The stock's 52-week low is $26.98 and its 52-week high is $46.22.
