oilrig New York, September 2^nd (Tradershuddle.com) – Mariner Energy (NYSE:ME), the offshore oil and natural gas producer, which will be acquired by Apache (NYSE:APA) had the most active Put options volume.

Put options on Mariner Energy with a $20 strike price expiring on September 18th, 2010, were the most active put options with 28,145 contracts traded. The price of the Put finished at $0.35 per contract surging $.25, or 250% in the session.
