FTI Consulting Appoints Lord Malloch-Brown as Chairman, Global Affairs

Appointment opens new advisory capacity for FTI clients operating in emerging markets
LONDON, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN), the global business advisory firm dedicated to helping organisations protect and enhance their enterprise value, has appointed Lord Malloch-Brown as Chairman, Global Affairs. Based in London, Lord Malloch-Brown will focus on advising clients on the risks and opportunities associated with international business development, particularly in emerging markets. The appointment follows a series of steps taken by FTI Consulting over the past two years to expand its reach and presence in multiple regions of high importance to its clients and business, including recent acquisitions in Asia and Latin America as well as the expansion of existing practice areas and offices across Europe.
Lord Malloch-Brown is a former Minister of State in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the British government with responsibility for Africa, Asia and the United Nations. He has also served as United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, Vice President of External Affairs at the World Bank and was the founder of the Economist Development Report.
In recognition of his long service in public life and on the international stage, Lord Malloch-Brown was offered a life peerage in July 2007 and he remains in the UK's House of Lords.
