Dell Couples DX Object Storage Solution with Archiving Leader Symantec Enterprise Vault 9.0 to Provide a Scalable Data Archiving and Retention Solution

ROUND ROCK, Texas-( Business Wire )-Building upon Dell and Symantec’s long-time relationship, Dell today announced that Symantec Enterprise Vault 9.0 has been certified on the Dell DX Object Storage Solution and customers can now purchase a pre-integrated and validated end-to-end storage and data archiving solution. Symantec’s industry-leading archiving solution running on Dell’s fully scalable and easy-to-use object storage offering provides customers a comprehensive archiving solution to address their compliance, retention and data management needs. The combination addresses customers’ needs in the Virtual Era for innovative solutions that drive efficiency while providing a simple, scalable, and easy-to-manage architecture.
Dell’s DX Object Storage Solution is designed to meet data management and retention requirements through an automated, policy-based retention and deletion platform. As customers’ archiving environments may grow, the solution can scale seamlessly to store billions of files or petabytes of information while avoiding the cost and complexity involved in forklift upgrades. Additionally, the solution can provide the right balance of automation and manual intervention to give customers complete control of their archiving environment and to help them reduce management costs.
Symantec’s Enterprise Vault 9.0 archiving software coupled with Dell’s DX Object Storage Solution is designed to allow customers to store, manage and discover digital information.
