KLA-Tencor - Worst Performing Semiconductor - Mid-Day Update

New York, September 7th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index is trading lower at $323.87, representing -1.47% from its previous close.
The semiconductor index is tumbling with 25 index components on the negative side.
NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) is the top performer of the semis, trading at $10.06, which represents 1.62%. from the previous trading session. Shares of NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing technologies have defined support at $9.30 and resistance at $10.20.
Marvell (NASDAQ:MRVL) is also among the top performers, currently trading at $17.21 representing 1.21% from its previous close. Marvell, the maker of integrated circuits for communications-related markets has calculated support and resistance levels at $13.87 and $16.74 respectively. The other top performer of the semis is SanDisk (NASDAQ:SNDK), which is trading at $37.25 representing 0.81% from the previous trading session.
The semis' worst performers include KLA-Tencor (NASDAQ:KLAC) that is trading at $29.02 or -4.38% from the previous close. Shares of KLA-Tencor, the maker of yield management and process monitoring systems for the semiconductor industry have defined support at $27.75 and resistance at $30.49. Also among the worst performers is MKS Instruments (NASDAQ:MKSI), which is currently trading at $18.05 representing -3.78% from the previous trading session.
Today, the Semis are underperforming the broad market index S&P 500.
