S&P 500 Round Up - Higher: MCO , JDSU , DO

mco New York, September 10th (TradersHuddle.com) - The S&P 500 index is higher trading at 1107.01, which represents 0.26% versus its previous close. The broad market index is having a mixed day with slightly more than 50% of the S&P 500 components trading higher.

Moody's (NYSE:MCO) is the S&P 500's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $24.98 representing 5.96% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Moody's, the credit rating firm have defined support at $20.72 and resistance at $23.16.

JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ:JDSU) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $11.45 representing 3.15% from its previous close. JDS Uniphase, the communications measurement and optical solutions provider has calculated support and resistance levels at $9.085 and $10.44 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Diamond Offshore Drilling (NYSE:DO), which is trading at $62.23 representing 3.1% from the previous close.

The S&P 500's worst performers include National Semiconductor (NYSE:NSM) that is trading at $11.87 or -7.98% from the previous close. Shares of National Semiconductor, the provider of analog and mixed-signal technologies for systems on a chip have defined support at $12.64 and resistance at $13.41. Also among the worst performers PG&E (NYSE:PCG), which is trading at $44.74 representing -7.26% from the previous trading session.

Benchmark crude for October delivery is also trading higher at $73.46 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange higher by $-0.97 from the previous trading session.

The S&P 500 is leading the the Dow Jones and NASDAQ Composite. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 0, which represents 0% from previous close, the NASDAQ on the other hand is trading at 2233.27 that represents -0.13% from previous close.
