New York, June 23rd (TradersHuddle.com) – Following are some of the new analyst ratings before the market open.
Research Firms Initiate:
Air Lease (NYSE:AL) was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $28 at FBR Capital. The firm believes that with an experienced management team and ample capital, the company is well positioned to quickly assemble an attractive portfolio of new-generation aircraft, drive rapid EPS growth, and grow into one of the largest aircraft lease companies.
CME Group (NYSE:CME), the largest futures exchange operator, was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $340 at BMO Capital.
Connecticut Water (NASDAQ:CTWS) was initiated with a Buy and a target price of $30 at Brean Murray.
Dangdang (NYSE:DANG), the ecommerce site that its known as the Chinese Amazon.com, was initiated with a Neutral at Susquehanna.
EMC Corp. (NYSE:EMC), the provider of enterprise storage systems, software, networks, and services, was initiated with a Strong Buy and a target price of $33 at Raymond James.
First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR), the largest maker of thin film solar modules in the world, was initiated with a Sell and a target price of $85 at Maxim Group. The firm believes the company's long-term earnings power is threatened by falling prices of polysilicon, normalized PPA prices for future projects and higher financing costs after the end of the DOE Loan Guarantee program.
Georgia Gulf (NYSE:GGC) was initiated with a Neutral at Goldman Sachs.
IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE:ICE), the global operator of commodity marketplaces, was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $135 at BMO Capital.
Kraton Performance Polymers (NYSE:KRA) was initiated with a Neutral at Goldman Sachs.
MicroStrategy (NASDAQ:MSTR) was initiated with a Buy and a target price of $190 at UBS.
NASDAQ OMX (NASDAQ:NDAQ), the global operator of stock markets and owner of the NASDAQ market site, was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $28 at BMO Capital.
NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP), the storage and data management solutions provider, was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $57 at Raymond James.
Nordstrom (NYSE:JWN), the upscale department store operator, was initiated with a Buy at Credit Agricole.
NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX), the global operator of equity market exchanges, was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $44 at BMO Capital.
Orion Energy Systems (NASDAQ:OESX) was initiated with a Market Outperform and a target price of $6 at Rodman & Renshaw. The firm said the company has returned to profitability and is better positioned than ever after facing a difficult economic period following its 2007 IPO.
QuinStreet (NASDAQ:QNST) was initiated with a Hold and a target price of $13 at The Benchmark Company. The firm noted the stock has significantly depreciated over the last few months due to increased competition, government regulation and a customer loss.
Saks (NYSE:SKS), the owner and operator of Saks Fifth Avenue stores, was initiated with Outperform at Credit Agricole.
Sina Corp. (NASDAQ:SINA), the Chinese online media company and owner of the Weibo microblogging service commonly referred to as the Twitter of China, was initiated with a Buy and a target price of $189 at T. H. Capital. The firm believes Weibo is a revolution in China, as it first began as a media revolution that is now extending into all areas of society. Even though Weibo started as a Twitter-like service, it didn't become Twitter; rather, it has become a revolutionary media in China, similar to Facebook in the US.
STR Holdings (NASDAQ:STRI) was initiated with a Buy and a target price of $22 at Maxim Group.
Suntech Power (NYSE:STP), the Chinese photovoltaic products maker, was initiated with a Sell and a target price of $4 at Maxim Group. The firm noted the company's cost disadvantage poses greater margin risk as ASPs fall.
SXC Health Solutions (NASDAQ:SXCI) was initiated with Outperform and a target price of $69 at FBR Capital.
Trina Solar (NYSE:TSL), the maker of mono and multi-crystalline photovoltaic modules, was initiated with a Buy and a target price of $26 at Maxim Group.. The firm noted the company's low cost advantage, positions it well to adapt to an environment of perpetual price declines.
Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE), the China based photovoltaic modules maker, was initiated with a Hold and a target price of $8 at Maxim Group. The firm noted with valuation reflecting both near-term EPS risk and long-term economics, is sees the company fairly valued at current levels.
