Semis Outperfomed the S&P 500 :BRCM, CRUS, INTC

New York, June 30th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index traded higher at $410.35, representing 2.54% from its previous close. The semiconductor index had a broad rally with all Index components on the positive side.

Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM) was the top performer of the semis, as it traded at $33.64, which represents 4.05%. from the previous trading session. Shares of Broadcom, the provider of chips that enable broadband digital data transmission have defined support at $30.71 and resistance at $32.89.

Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS) was also among the top performers, closing the trading session at $15.9 representing 3.79% from its previous close. Cirrus Logic, the provider of high-precision analog and mixed-signal, and embedded processors for audio and industrial markets has calculated support and resistance levels at $13.13 and $14.84 respectively. The other top performer of the semis was Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), which traded at $22.16 representing 3.6% from the previous trading session.

The semis' worst performers include Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) that traded at $7.49 or 0.24% from the previous close. Shares of Micron Technology, the dynamic random access memory chips maker have defined support at $7.20 and resistance at $8.45. Also among the worst performers was Power Integrations (NASDAQ:POWI), which closed at $38.25 representing 0.42% from the previous trading session.

Today, the semis outperformed the broad market index S&P 500.
