Nordstrom Rack to Open at Warwick Mall in Rhode Island

SEATTLE, Dec. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced today plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in Warwick, R.I., located just outside of Providence. The new 37,360 square-foot store is scheduled to open during fall 2012 in a newly developed wing at Warwick Mall.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., and carries on-trend merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at 50-60% off original Nordstrom prices. Nordstrom Rack also offers a wide selection of apparel, accessories and shoes from many of the brands carried in Nordstrom stores purchased specially for Nordstrom Rack, with most at savings of 30-70% off.
The new Nordstrom Rack will be part of a strong retail mix including Macy's, JC Penney, Target, OFF Broadway Shoes, Old Navy, Jordan's Furniture and Sports Authority. Warwick Mall, LLC is the owner and manager of the center.
This will be the first Nordstrom Rack in Rhode Island. In addition, the retailer operates a full-line Nordstrom store at Providence Place in downtown Providence, just eight miles north of the new Rack location.
