Citigroup - Worst Performing Bank

New York, January 13th (TradersHuddle.com) - The KBW Bank Index closed lower at $43.44, which represents -0.39% from its previous close.
The bank index had an overall mixed day with 14 index components closing higher.
Regions Financial (NYSE:RF) was the top performer of the banking index, closing at $4.79 representing 2.13%. versus the previous trading session. Shares of Regions Financial, the Alabama based regional bank have defined support at $4.21 and resistance at $4.84.
Fifth Third (NASDAQ:FITB) was also among the top performers, closing at $14.03 representing 1.45% from its previous close. Fifth Third, the regional bank with presence in the Midwest and Southeast of the U.S. has calculated support and resistance levels at $11.67 and $13.96 respectively. The other top performer was KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY), which traded at $8.32 representing 1.16% from the previous trading session.
The bank's worst performers include Citigroup (NYSE:C) that closed at $30.74 or -2.72% from the previous close. Shares of Citigroup, the diversified financial services firm have defined support at $26.02 and resistance at $29.18. Also among the worst performers was Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), which is currently trading at $6.61 representing -2.65% from the previous trading session.
Today, the banks outperformed the broad market index S&P 500.
