Chevron - Worst Performing Dow Component

New York, January 18th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Dow Jones Industrial Average is higher trading at 12550.9, which represents 0.55% versus its previous trading session close.
The blue chip index is having a mixed day with upside bias by having 18 Dow components trading higher.
JP Morgan (NYSE:JPM) is the Dow's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $36.03 representing 3.21% versus the previous trading session. Shares of JP Morgan, the second largest U.S. lender have defined support at $30.42 and resistance at $37.05.
Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) is also among the top performers early in the trading session, trading at $6.68 representing 3.01% from its previous close. Bank of America, the largest U.S. lender has calculated support and resistance levels at $6.41 and $7.02 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Home Depot (NYSE:HD), which is trading at $44.74 representing 2.28% from the previous trading session.
The Dow's worst performers include Chevron (NYSE:CVX) that is trading at $105.97 or -0.7% from the previous close. Shares of Chevron, the second largest U.S. energy producer have defined support at $103.51 and resistance at $110.66. Also among the worst performers we have Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), which is trading at $28.08 representing -0.62% from the previous trading session.
Benchmark crude for January delivery is also trading higher at $97.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange higher by $-0.1 from the previous trading session.
The Dow is underperfoming the S&P 500 but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The S&P 500 is currently trading at 1302.98, which represents 0.72% from previous close, the Nasdaq on the other hand is trading at 2756.61 that represents 1.05% from previous session.
