NASDAQ 100's Top Performers :LLTC, ALTR, MU

New York, January 18th (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is higher trading at 2420.61, which represents 1.14% versus its previous close. The index is having a mixed day with slightly more than 50% of the NASDAQ 100 components on the green.

Linear Technology (NASDAQ:LLTC) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $33.05 representing 10.65% from its previous trading session. Shares of Linear Technology, the maker of linear integrated circuits have defined support at $28.35 and resistance at $30.45.

Altera (NASDAQ:ALTR) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $40.28 representing 8.69% from its previous close. Altera, the maker of programmable logic devices has calculated support and resistance levels at $36.66 and $38.76 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU), which is trading at $7.62 representing 6.42% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include Apollo (NASDAQ:APOL) that is trading at $54.01 or -6.4% from the previous close. Shares of Apollo, the provider of educational programs have defined support at $44.31 and resistance at $57.51. Also among the worst performers Fastenal (NASDAQ:FAST), which is trading at $45.04 representing -3.74% from the previous trading session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12555.8, which represents 0.59% from previous close, the S&P 500 on the other hand is trading at 1303.76 that represents 0.78% from its previous close.
