SAN DIEGO-( Business Wire )-Jack in the Box® restaurants today announced a $250,000 donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters, which will apply the contribution to primarily support its military mentoring programs. Monies for the donation were raised during a holiday promotion at Jack in the Box restaurants, where the chain sold a limited-edition elf ornament for $1.
With this donation, Jack in the Box fulfills a $1 million pledge it made in 2010 to support military mentoring programs. “Fulfilling our pledge to help Big Brothers Big Sisters provide mentors and ongoing assistance for children from military families has been a collaborative effort including our employees, guests, vendors and, most importantly, our franchisees who supported this promotion on a system-wide basis,” said Brian Luscomb, president of The Jack in the Box Foundation, which coordinated the promotion. “This is the fourth consecutive year that we’ve raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters through the sale of limited-edition antenna balls or ornaments. In total, these holiday promotions have raised more than $1.2 million for the organization.”
