Update - Brokers Higher In Focus:MS, JEF, RJF

New York, January 19th (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market is trading higher with the S&P 500 adding 0.49%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers are are also trading higher, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index trading at 93.296, which represents 3.42% from its previous close. 10 out of 10 components of the index are trading higher.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) is the index current top performer, trading at $18.23 representing 5.07%. versus the previous trading session. Shares of Morgan Stanley, the operator of a global securities business, have defined support at $14.88 and resistance at $17.32.

Jefferies (NYSE:JEF) is also among the top performers, trading at $16.02 representing 5.05% from its previous close. Jefferies, the independent full service global securities services and investment banking firm has calculated support and resistance levels at $13.19 and $16.69 respectively. The other top performer is Raymond James (NYSE:RJF), which is trading at $34.3 representing 4% from the previous trading session.

The index worst performers include Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR) that is trading at $15.24 or 0.2% from the previous close. Shares of Interactive Brokers, the automated global electronic market maker and broker have defined support at $14.38 and resistance at $15.22. Also among the worst performers is Ameriprise (NYSE:AMP), which is trading at $52.95 representing 0.86% from the previous trading session.
