NASDAQ 100's Update, In focus:FFIV, NTAP, SHLD, FSLR, VRTX

New York, January 19th (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is higher trading at 2442.46, which represents 0.68% versus its previous close. The index is having a mixed day with slightly more than 50% of the NASDAQ 100 components on the green.

F5 Networks (NASDAQ:FFIV) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $122.27 representing 12.73% from its previous trading session. Shares of F5 Networks, the application delivery networking Company have defined support at $105.45 and resistance at $112.85.

NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $37.13 representing 7.16% from its previous close. NetApp, the storage and data management solutions provider has calculated support and resistance levels at $33.50 and $36.77 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is Sears Holdings (NASDAQ:SHLD), which is trading at $42.09 representing 6.58% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) that is trading at $39.67 or -7.72% from the previous close. Shares of First Solar, the largest maker of thin film solar modules in the world have defined support at $31.45 and resistance at $43.49. Also among the worst performers Vertex Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:VRTX), which is trading at $36.92 representing -1.47% from the previous trading session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12610, which represents 0.25% from previous close, the S&P 500 on the other hand is trading at 1314.71 that represents 0.51% from its previous close.
