IGT Sponsors the American Intellectual Property Law Association's 2012 Mid-Winter Institute

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT) announced today the Company will sponsor the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) 2012 Mid-Winter Institute, as IGT celebrates the Association's and the industry's achievements in education and the practice of intellectual property law.

The AIPLA 2012 Mid-Winter Institute will be held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 23 -26, 2012.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Boris Hallerbach, senior manager of Product Management at IGT  will share the podium with Gregory G. Economos, senior vice president, Global Consumer Products for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Their luncheon topic will focus on casino floor games. Now more than ever, they are more than fun and games, they are big business and increasingly focus on big brands.

Discussions will include "How are these licensed brands and titles adapted for use in casino slot games?" The keynote presenters will discuss how licensor and licensee work together to effectively utilize intellectual property content such as brands in casino game development.

During the four-day annual institute, distinguished speakers from the bench, the US Patent & Trademark Office, in-house legal departments and law firms will address the economic, management and legal challenges that they are facing.
