American Express - Worst Performing Dow Component

New York, January 20th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Dow Jones Industrial Average is higher trading at 12684.8, which represents 0.48% versus its previous trading session close.
The blue chip index is having a bad day by having only 9 Dow components trading higher.
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is the Dow's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $29.4 representing 4.55% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Microsoft, the maker of Windows operating software have defined support at $24.30 and resistance at $28.19.
IBM (NYSE:IBM) is also among the top performers early in the trading session, trading at $187.61 representing 3.93% from its previous close. IBM, the IT solutions and consulting services provider has calculated support and resistance levels at $177.35 and $188.71 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Hewlett Packard (NYSE:HPQ), which is trading at $27.78 representing 2.32% from the previous trading session.
The Dow's worst performers include American Express (NYSE:AXP) that is trading at $50 or -1.86% from the previous close. Shares of American Express, the credit card issuer and travel services company have defined support at $45.89 and resistance at $49.25. Also among the worst performers we have Home Depot (NYSE:HD), which is trading at $44.67 representing -1.63% from the previous trading session.
Benchmark crude for January delivery is also trading higher at $97.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange higher by $-0.1 from the previous trading session.
The Dow is underperfoming the S&P 500 but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The S&P 500 is currently trading at 1311.7, which represents -0.21% from previous close, the Nasdaq on the other hand is trading at 2781.82 that represents -0.23% from previous session.
