IGT Presents Innovative Systems and Bonusing Applications Breakthrough at ICE

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT) continues to change the face of the gaming industry with innovative systems solutions, which will be showcased at ICE Totally Gaming (ICE) in London, Jan. 24-26, 2012.

The industry's first Gaming Standards Association (GSA)-compliant, server-based solution, sbX® will be on display at ICE. With an emphasis on enhancing the player experience, it is no surprise that more than 50 casinos in 11 countries have partnered with IGT for this innovative technology. sbX®-connected machines have reported 10 times greater growth over non-sbX®-connected machines after just the second month of operability.

Part of the sbX® system is the sbX® Floor Manager, which delivers on-demand access to more than 300 titles in the IGT Game Library, allowing for a reconfiguration of a casino floor with the touch of a button. Casinos can expect to reduce operational costs after implementing Floor Manager, by decreasing labor and traditional conversion expenses.

In addition to the showcasing of systems, IGT also plans to announce a variety of player-facing applications at ICE in London. The list of apps available to operators through IGT's sbX® system include:

• Big Game Hunt™ - Players earn extra points or comps when they play specific themes and reach certain game levels
• Game Pulse™ - Lets players browse the property's game catalog, including a casino floor map highlighting various game locations
• Team Challenge™ - Enables individual players or teams to compete against others for points
• Auction Action™ - Allows players to use points to bid on casino property items using reward points
• Build the Wonder™ - An application theme developed for Intelligent Bonusing to show the power of content to personalize the player experience for your customers

Also showing at ICE is IGT's Universal Game Adaptor (UGA). Developed for casino operators to provide a bridge to the future, giving them the path to a fully integrated Games-to-Systems (G2S) floor, this GSA open standards-based picture-in-picture video adaptor enables any game manufacturer to certify and support the Service Window functionality on their slot machines, delivering rich bonus applications and patron loyalty functions directly to the slot machine, while safely preserving the games' behavior and integrity.
