LONDON, Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --The insurance segment of XL Group plc ("XL") (NYSE: XL) today announced the appointment of Jason Harris as Chief Executive of its International P&C Insurance business. Mr. Harris will be based in London and report to Greg Hendrick, CEO of XL's insurance segment. Upon joining XL, Mr. Harris will become a member of the insurance segment's Executive Board.
Commenting on the appointment Mr. Hendrick said, "We are delighted to have the benefit of Jason's broad skill-set and international industry experience. Mr. Hendrick added, "Jason's broad span of responsibilities will focus on delivering on our strategic aspirations for the region. In his new role he will be working with a strong group of talented individuals, and especially with XL's Global Distribution and Network unit, to ensure that we provide innovative solutions that anticipate and respond to our clients' and brokers' needs – and help make their worlds go."
