NASDAQ 100's Update, In focus:SHLD, BIDU, MRVL, RIMM, NFLX

New York, January 23rd (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is lower trading at 2431.63, which represents -0.22% versus its previous close. The index is having a negative day with more than 60% of the NASDAQ 100 components trading negative.

Sears Holdings (NASDAQ:SHLD) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $50.01 representing 2.05% from its previous trading session. Shares of Sears Holdings, the holding company that owns and operates the Sears and Kmart retail chains have defined support at $28.89 and resistance at $34.65.

Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $124.79 representing 1.62% from its previous close. Baidu, the largest Chinese Internet search engine has calculated support and resistance levels at $117.17 and $131.50 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is Marvell (NASDAQ:MRVL), which is trading at $15.77 representing 1.55% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) that is trading at $15.85 or -6.76% from the previous close. Shares of Research In Motion, the Blackberry maker have defined support at $12.45 and resistance at $17.96. Also among the worst performers Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), which is trading at $96.44 representing -3.79% from the previous trading session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12682.3, which represents -0.3% from previous close, the S&P 500 on the other hand is trading at 1312.58 that represents -0.21% from its previous close.
