Brokers Lower In Focus:JEF, NMR, RJF

jef New York, January 25th (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market traded higher with the S&P 500 adding 0.87%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers traded lower, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index closing the session at $94.271, which represents -0.59% versus previous day close. The index , it had 4 out of 10 components trading higher.

Jefferies (NYSE:JEF) was the top performer of the sector today, closing at $16.15 representing 2.6% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Jefferies, the independent full service global securities services and investment banking firm, have defined support at $14.60 and resistance at $16.49.

Nomura (NYSE:NMR) was also among the top performers, closed the trading session at $3.67 representing 1.94% from its previous close. Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan has calculated support and resistance levels at $3.20 and $3.72 respectively. The other top performer was Raymond James (NYSE:RJF), which closed the trading session at $34.29 representing 0.12% from the previous session.

The sector's worst performers include Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR) that closed the trading session at $15.45 or -3.01% from the previous close. Shares of Interactive Brokers, the automated global electronic market maker and broker have defined support at $14.38 and resistance at $16.06. Also among the worst performers was Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW), which closed the trading session at $12.14 representing -2.69% from the previous session.
