TradersHuddle Mid-day Update: Dow Jones Higher Top Performers: CAT, MMM, DD

cat New York, January 26th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Dow Jones Industrial Average is higher trading at 12765.1, which represents 0.06% versus its previous trading session close. The blue chip index is having a mixed day with upside bias by having 16 Dow components trading higher.

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) is the Dow's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $112 representing 2.71% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Caterpillar, the largest earth moving equipment maker in the world have defined support at $86.29 and resistance at $107.24.

3M (NYSE:MMM) is also among the top performers early in the trading session, trading at $87.87 representing 1.61% from its previous close. 3M, the maker of Post-It notes and Scotch tape has calculated support and resistance levels at $77.51 and $85.19 respectively. The other top performer this morning is DuPont (NYSE:DD), which is trading at $51.17 representing 1.15% from the previous trading session.

The Dow's worst performers include AT&T (NYSE:T) that is trading at $29.59 or -2.05% from the previous close. Shares of AT&T, the communications company owner of the second wireless network in the U.S. have defined support at $27.41 and resistance at $30.68. Also among the worst performers we have Home Depot (NYSE:HD), which is trading at $44.69 representing -1.26% from the previous trading session.

Benchmark crude for January delivery is also trading higher at $97.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange higher by $-0.1 from the previous trading session.

The Dow is underperfoming the S&P 500 but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The S&P 500 is currently trading at 1321.37, which represents -0.35% from previous close, the Nasdaq on the other hand is trading at 2808.99 that represents -0.33% from previous session.
