Broker Dealer Stocks Outperfomed: AMP, MS, RJF

New York, January 26th (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market traded lower with the S&P 500 losing 0.57%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers also traded lower, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index closing the session at $92.004, which represents -2.39% versus previous day close.
The index , it had 5 out of 10 components trading higher.
Ameriprise (NYSE:AMP) was the top performer of the sector today, closing at $54.68 representing 0.74% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Ameriprise, the financial planning firm, have defined support at $44.36 and resistance at $55.61.
Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) was also among the top performers, closed the trading session at $18.2 representing 0.39% from its previous close. Morgan Stanley, the operator of a global securities business has calculated support and resistance levels at $17.64 and $18.67 respectively. The other top performer was Raymond James (NYSE:RJF), which closed the trading session at $34.4 representing 0.32% from the previous session.
The sector's worst performers include E*TRADE (NASDAQ:ETFC) that closed the trading session at $7.99 or -14.64% from the previous close. Shares of E*TRADE, the online brokerage and financial services provider for individual retail investors have defined support at $7.61 and resistance at $9.80. Also among the worst performers was Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW), which closed the trading session at $11.61 representing -4.37% from the previous session.
