First Solar - NASDAQ 100 Top Performer

fslr New York, January 27th (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is higher trading at 2456.44, which represents 0.07% versus its previous close. The index is having a mixed day with slightly less than 50% of the NASDAQ 100 components trading higher.

First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $43.97 representing 7.4% from its previous trading session. Shares of First Solar, the largest maker of thin film solar modules in the world have defined support at $36.33 and resistance at $44.16.

Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $20.74 representing 4.75% from its previous close. Seagate, the maker of hard drives and storage solutions has calculated support and resistance levels at $15.48 and $20.09 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is KLA-Tencor (NASDAQ:KLAC), which is trading at $52.5 representing 4.46% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX) that is trading at $47.15 or -2.46% from the previous close. Shares of Starbucks, the largest coffee shop chain in the world have defined support at $42.67 and resistance at $48.39. Also among the worst performers QIAGEN (NASDAQ:QGEN), which is trading at $16.26 representing -1.69% from the previous trading session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12646.6, which represents -0.69% from previous close, the S&P 500 on the other hand is trading at 1313.71 that represents -0.36% from its previous close.
