WASHINGTON-( Business Wire )-Slate announced today the launch of its personalized news hub, MySlate, which presents readers with the option to create their own corner of Slate tailored exclusively for them. Through MySlate, Slate readers can craft a customized Slate homepage that will present the latest stories from their favorite authors and sections, generate a personalized newsletter that will keep them abreast of the subjects and writers they choose, as well as alert them to activity on any comments they’ve left at Slate. “We’re tremendously excited about the launch of MySlate,” said Julia Turner, Slate deputy editor. “Giving our readers the option to read exactly the Slate they want – a Slate just for them – we believe it will lead to an even deeper kinship with our already loyal and fantastically dedicated readers.”
Highlights of MySlate include:
- A personalized Slate page that presents readers with their favorite parts of Slate
- A live feed that tracks activity on readers’ comments, so they can see when someone responds to or likes what they had to say
- The ability to generate a tailor-made daily e-newsletter that will keep readers up to date on the latest from their favorite Slate writers and features
- A save-for-later reading function
- Access to MySlate via the top navigation on the Slate homepage and via sharing toolbars on articles, blog posts, Slatest posts, and slide shows
