In his new role, Capasso will advise Telos leadership on joint-service matters; evaluate strategic opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances and joint ventures; augment program growth and business development; and interface directly with customers to ensure their requirements are understood and addressed.
“Telos represents the confidence and trust required to operate in an ever-changing cyber environment,” Capasso said. “I am extremely pleased to be joining a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing innovative solutions affecting our nation’s most serious economic and security challenges.”
Capasso was commissioned upon graduating from the Air Force Academy in 1978 and embarked upon a career that covered all aspects of information technology and aerospace operations. His assignments included command, control, communications and computer (C4) leadership roles at United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) before completing his service in the office of the Air Force CIO and retiring in 2011.
“Our military, intelligence and civilian customers depend upon our ability to assess and anticipate their needs,” said John Wood, chairman and CEO of Telos Corporation. “General Capasso’s leadership experience in communications and cybersecurity give him rich insight into the government’s unique technology requirements.”
