New York, February 1st (TradersHuddle.com) - The following are top upgrades and downgrades before the market opens.

Seagate Technology (NASDAQ:STX) was upgraded to a Buy from Hold at Stifel Nicolaus. The firm set its target price at $35.

Mattel (NYSE:MAT) was downgraded to a Hold from Buy at Stifel Nicolaus, following earnings.

Newmont Mining (NYSE:NEM) was downgraded to a Hold from Buy at Stifel Nicolaus.

Eagle Materials (NYSE:EXP) was downgraded to a Hold from Buy at Jefferies.

Waddell & Reed (NYSE:WDR) was downgraded to a Sell from Neutral at Citigroup.

Applied Micro Circuits (NASDAQ:AMCC) was downgraded to Perform from Outperform at Oppenheimer.

T. Rowe Price (NASDAQ:TROW) was downgraded to a Neutral from Overweight at JPMorgan.

Monster Worldwide (NYSE:MWW) was downgraded to Perform from Outperform at Oppenheimer.

Home Properties (NYSE:HME) was upgraded to Market Perform from Underperform at Keefe Bruyette.

First Horizon National (NYSE:FHN) was upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Wells Fargo.
