Sector Wrap Up - Brokers Declined: MS, NMR, GS

New York, February 1st (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market traded higher with the S&P 500 adding 0.89%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers also traded higher, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index closing the session at $94.23, which represents 2.33% versus previous day close.
The index , it had 10 out of 10 components trading higher.
Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) was the top performer of the sector today, closing at $19.6 representing 5.09% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Morgan Stanley, the operator of a global securities business, have defined support at $17.64 and resistance at $18.88.
Nomura (NYSE:NMR) was also among the top performers, closed the trading session at $3.83 representing 4.93% from its previous close. Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan has calculated support and resistance levels at $3.50 and $3.72 respectively. The other top performer was Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS), which closed the trading session at $115.01 representing 3.18% from the previous session.
The sector's worst performers include Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR) that closed the trading session at $15.15 or 0.2% from the previous close. Shares of Interactive Brokers, the automated global electronic market maker and broker have defined support at $14.38 and resistance at $16.06. Also among the worst performers was Jefferies (NYSE:JEF), which closed the trading session at $15.25 representing 0.26% from the previous session.
