ActionView International Announces WCFC Last Man Standing III

CORONA DEL MAR, Calif., Feb. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ActionView International, Inc. (OTC: AVEW) today announced that its premium mixed martial arts brand, WCFC, will hold Last Man Standing III on May 11, 2012 in Salt Lake City.  As with the previous Last Man Standing events, this will be a tournament style competition where the winner will face multiple opponents in a single night. Last Man Standing III will feature top welterweight professional fighters from the western United States in one-round, single elimination mixed martial arts combat.

On January 20th, 2012, WCFC held Last Man Standing II which featured a welterweight (170 pound) tournament that was won by newcomer Benjamin Smith, who made his pro debut fighting out of Extreme Couture in Las Vegas.  Smith won by defeating three opponents including Ultimate Fighter alums Brandon Melendez and Kyacey Uscola.  In the heavyweight class, Tyler "The Beast" East handily won a unanimous decision against Brazilian judo champion and Olympic fighter Rodrigo Artilheiro before scoring an impressive knockout of former UFC fighter Fabiano Scherner in the finals.

Joe Wooten, CEO and President of ActionView, discussed the upcoming event, "We are excited beyond words with the quality of the participants in our previous Last Man Standing tournaments.  The fans have loved the shows and the fighters are begging us to come back and do it again.  We plan on holding two Last Man Standing tournaments in all three weight classes, 155, 170 and 265 pounds, so that the respective winners can meet in a Last Man Standing Night of Champions event this summer to determine the WCFC Belt Champion for each of the series weight divisions.  On May 11th, we will hold our second welterweight 8-man tournament in Salt Lake City, with several fighters already committed."
