NASDAQ 100 Round Up - Higher: CERN, NVDA, VMED

New York, February 8th (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is higher trading at 2538.72, which represents 0.26% versus its previous close. The index is having a mixed day with slightly less than 50% of the NASDAQ 100 components trading higher.

Cerner (NASDAQ:CERN) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $70.86 representing 13.25% from its previous trading session. Shares of Cerner, the healthcare information technology systems provider have defined support at $59.36 and resistance at $63.82.

NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $16.34 representing 3.81% from its previous close. NVIDIA, the world leader in visual computing technologies has calculated support and resistance levels at $13.50 and $15.95 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is Virgin Media (NASDAQ:VMED), which is trading at $25.07 representing 3.25% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include Biogen Idec (NASDAQ:BIIB) that is trading at $118.42 or -2.58% from the previous close. Shares of Biogen Idec, the Cambridge, Massachusetts based biotechnology company focusing on neurology, oncology, and immunology have defined support at $109.52 and resistance at $123.23. Also among the worst performers Cognizant Technology Solutions (NASDAQ:CTSH), which is trading at $70.28 representing -2.4% from the previous trading session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12858.3, which represents -0.15% from previous close, the S&P 500 on the other hand is trading at 1346.68 that represents -0.03% from its previous close.
