Mid Day Update - Broker Dealer Stocks Outperfoming: NMR, JEF, AMTD

nmr New York, February 9th (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market is trading lower with the S&P 500 losing 0.05%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers are are trading higher, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index trading at 96.843, which represents 0.04% from its previous close. 6 out of 10 components of the index are trading higher.

Nomura (NYSE:NMR) is the index current top performer, trading at $4.11 representing 1.48%. versus the previous trading session. Shares of Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan, have defined support at $3.50 and resistance at $3.98.

Jefferies (NYSE:JEF) is also among the top performers, trading at $16.12 representing 0.94% from its previous close. Jefferies, the independent full service global securities services and investment banking firm has calculated support and resistance levels at $14.98 and $16.70 respectively. The other top performer is TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ:AMTD), which is trading at $17.02 representing 0.41% from the previous trading session.

The index worst performers include Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW) that is trading at $12.38 or -0.55% from the previous close. Shares of Charles Schwab, the securities brokerage, banking, and other related financial services provider have defined support at $11.34 and resistance at $12.90. Also among the worst performers is Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR), which is trading at $15.09 representing -0.2% from the previous trading session.
