TradersHuddle Mid-day Update: Dow Jones Lower Top Performers: CAT, KO, XOM

New York, February 22nd (TradersHuddle.com) - The Dow Jones Industrial Average is lower trading at 12922, which represents -0.34% versus its previous trading session close. The blue chip index is having a mixed day with downside bias by having only 11 Dow components trading higher.

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) is the Dow's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $116.22 representing 1.06% versus the previous trading session. Shares of Caterpillar, the largest earth moving equipment maker in the world have defined support at $104.45 and resistance at $114.64.

Coca Cola (NYSE:KO) is also among the top performers early in the trading session, trading at $69.12 representing 0.44% from its previous close. Coca Cola, the owner of one of the most valuable brands in the world has calculated support and resistance levels at $66.565 and $70.71 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Exxon (NYSE:XOM), which is trading at $86.87 representing 0.35% from the previous trading session.

The Dow's worst performers include Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) that is trading at $26.57 or -2.19% from the previous close. Shares of Intel, the largest chipmaker in the world have defined support at $23.05 and resistance at $27. Also among the worst performers we have Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT), which is trading at $58.99 representing -1.8% from the previous trading session.

Benchmark crude for January delivery is also trading lower at $97.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange lower by $-0.1 from the previous trading session.

The Dow is underperfoming the S&P 500 but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The S&P 500 is currently trading at 1356.53, which represents -0.42% from previous close, the Nasdaq on the other hand is trading at 2931.74 that represents -0.57% from previous session.
