Guidance Software Announces 12th Annual Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC)

Guidance Software Inc. (NASDAQ:GUID), the World Leader in Digital Investigations™, today announced the 12^th annual Computer and Enterprise Investigations Conference (CEIC), to be held May 21 – 24 at the Red Rock Resort in Summerlin, Nevada.

CEIC is the premier digital forensics, e-discovery and computer security conference, last year garnering a Forensic 4cast Award for Outstanding Contribution to Digital Forensics. Nearly 2,000 attendees are expected at this year’s conference from corporations, government agencies, law enforcement, technology and service providers, industry luminaries and more. New at this year’s CEIC is the CISO Summit, a single-day, executive-level meeting focused on cutting-edge strategies for data visibility and incident response.

Gen. Richard B. Myers, USAF (Ret.) will be the keynote speaker on Tuesday, May 22^nd, at 9:30 a.m. Gen. Myers was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from October 2001 until his retirement in September 2005. As chairman, Gen. Myers was the United States military’s highest ranking uniformed officer and in this capacity, he served as the principal military advisor to the President, Secretary of Defense, and National Security Council during the earliest stages of the War on Terror. General Myers also wrote the early rules governing cyber attacks, which applied to internal Department of Defense networks and governed what actions could be taken if those networks were breached.

Conference attendees will have access to more than one hundred educational sessions presented by a wide range of industry experts.
