Worst Performing Dow Component: Caterpillar

New York, May 8th (TradersHuddle.com) - The Dow Jones Industrial Average is lower trading at 12846.6, which represents -1.25% versus its previous trading session close, with only three of its components trading in green territory.

AT&T (NYSE:T) is the Dow's top performer this morning with the stock trading at $33.08 representing 0.24% versus the previous trading session. Shares of AT&T, the communications company owner of the second wireless network in the U.S. have defined support at $29.95 and resistance at $33.33.

Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) is also among the top performers early in the session, trading at $59.31 representing 0.21% from its previous close. Wal-Mart, the biggest retailer in the world has calculated support and resistance levels at $57.18 and $61.47 respectively. The other top performer this morning is Procter (NYSE:PG), which is trading at $64.3 representing 0.07% from the previous trading session.

The Dow's worst performers include Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) that is trading at $94.07 or -3.21% from the previous close. Shares of Caterpillar, the largest earth moving equipment maker in the world have defined support at $102.30 and resistance at $109.77. Also among the worst performers we have Home Depot (NYSE:HD), which is trading at $50 representing -2.7% from the previous session.

Benchmark crude for May delivery is also trading lower at $103.05 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange lower by $0.78 from the previous trading session.

The Dow is under performing the S&P 500, but is pretty much equal with the NASDAQ composite. The S&P 500 is currently trading at 1351.14, which represents -1.35% from previous close, the Nasdaq on the other hand is trading at 2912.06 that represents -1.55% from previous session.
