Genworth Financial Announces Results of Annual Meeting

RICHMOND, Va., May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW) announced the re-election of all seven directors nominated at its 2012 annual meeting of stockholders today.  The board members re-elected were Steven W. Alesio, William H. Bolinder, Nancy J. Karch, Christine B. Mead, Thomas E. Moloney, James A. Parke, and James S. Riepe.

At the annual meeting, stockholders also approved the advisory vote on named executive officer compensation, approved the 2012 Genworth Financial, Inc. Omnibus Incentive Plan, and ratified the selection of KPMG LLP as Genworth's independent registered public accounting firm for 2012.
