Exelon Generation Announces Pricing of $775 Million of Senior Notes

Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Generation) announced today that it has agreed to sell to initial purchasers in a private offering $275 million of senior notes maturing on June 15, 2022, with a coupon of 4.25%, and $500 million of Senior Notes maturing on June 15, 2042, with a coupon of 5.60% (the Notes). The sale of the Notes is expected to close on June 18, 2012. Generation will use the net proceeds from the sale for general corporate purposes.

The Notes were offered in a private placement to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the Securities Act), subject to market and other conditions.
