HOUSTON-( Business Wire )-

Constellation, a leading national competitive energy supplier and business unit of Exelon (NYSE: EXC), today announced it has expanded its Houston offices a year after doubling its customer base by acquiring two retail energy providers.

The office space houses more than 600 employees from Constellation and two companies it acquired last year: award-winning StarTex Power based in Houston and MXenergy, with customers in 15 states including Texas. The office encompasses more than 95,000 square feet, stretching the length of two city blocks at 4 Houston Center in downtown Houston.

Constellation’s expanded Houston headquarters is also home to a large sales and operations team offering an array of products and services for business and industrial customers, including energy supply, demand response, energy efficiency and solar and green energy products that help customers better manage their energy needs. The expanded office space contains state-of-the-art facilities for Constellation’s customer care, IT, operations, marketing, sales and finance teams.

Constellation has grown to more than 1 million customers since acquiring StarTex Power and MXenergy. Effective June 1, MXenergy was renamed Constellation Energy Power Choice, Inc. and Constellation Energy Gas Choice, Inc.
