SAN JOSE, Calif., June 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DSP Group®, Inc. (Nasdaq:DSPG), a leading global provider of wireless chipset solutions for converged communications, announced today that its VoIP chipset is powering the innovative CAT-iq 2.0-certified VoIP Base Station offered by Swissvoice, a leading European provider of innovative telecommunications systems. Anchored by DSP Group's industry-leading XciteR™ chipset, Swissvoice's IB 200 is the first VoIP base station to be certified by the DECT Forum. The advanced base station supports HD voice and a host of cutting-edge features that enhance the user experience via an Ethernet connection to the IP network.
Leveraging its longstanding market leadership in cordless telephony combined with its expertise in VoIP solutions, DSP Group has been instrumental in bringing CAT-iq 2.0 not only to the cordless market but also to VoIP applications.
