NEW YORK, June 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM) is pleased to announce that its Quote Access Payment (QAP®) information is now available to users of the Bloomberg Professional service.

QAP data features the access fee, or rebate, published by an OTC market participant related to the quote of a particular security. QAP data provides real-time transparency into the complete trading costs for OTCQX, OTCQB and OTC Pink traded securities. The information is available to subscribers of OTC Markets Level 2+ market data on the Bloomberg Professional service and can be accessed at {MDM<GO>}.
OTC Markets Group introduced the QAP service in December 2011, in response to new FINRA rules allowing broker-dealers to charge access fees for all OTC equities products. QAP has been widely adopted, with the majority of quotes on the OTC Link ATS displaying an access fee or rebate.
"Bloomberg Professional subscribers with access to our Level 2+ quote montage can now view QAP information for any of the more than 9,800 OTCQX, OTCQB and OTC Pink traded securities," said Matthew Fuchs, Managing Director – Market Data Services. "As the first major market data provider to display QAP data, Bloomberg offers its subscribers with the same insight into access fees that is available to broker-dealers using the OTC Link ATS."
QAP enables broker-dealer subscribers to publish their quote access fees on the OTC Link ATS, in accordance with FINRA Rule 6450. For electing broker-dealer subscribers, OTC Link also offers the QAP One Statement factoring service, which effectively purchases the QAP-related receivables of electing subscribers, assumes their credit risk, and collects QAP payments owed by other subscribers.
