U.S. Women's National Soccer Team To Capture Their London Olympic Games Experience On Panasonic LUMIX Digital Cameras

SALT LAKE CITY, July 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic, the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category and official sponsor of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, announced today that it has outfitted the U.S. Women's Olympic Soccer Team and staff, as well as a family member of each player, with LUMIX TS4 and ZS19 Digital Cameras. The team, and family members traveling to London in support of the team, will be capturing images of their experiences(1) at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London and posting the photos on Panasonic's Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/Lumix. The Summer Olympic Games begin on July 27.

"The Olympic Games is such an incredibly visual experience that each player and visitor sees from their own unique perspective," said Betty Noonan, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America. "Our Panasonic LUMIX Digital Cameras are critically acclaimed, making it easy for anyone to capture their precious memories in crisp, blur-free detail. We're very excited that the U.S. Women's Olympic Soccer Team and their families will be using LUMIX cameras to give us all a chance to join them in their journey through the Olympic experience."
Players can be equally aggressive with their cameras as they are on the playing field with the LUMIX TS4. The camera's rugged exterior withstands dust, water, frost and any drops or kicks that it may come into contact with. The GPS function gives users real-time information on where a photo is being taken, and will allow them to easily recall where they've captured their winning moments. The LUMIX ZS19 features a powerful 20x optical zoom, which lets users draw subjects close and capture still action shots or 60p Full HD video all the way from the stands without losing detail. Capturing moving objects in still frames is easy in Intelligent Auto mode. The motion deblur function automatically judges the appropriate shutter speed and suppresses motion blur in moving objects, while AF (Auto Focus) tracking will automatically lock and follow a subject to keep it in focus.
The U.S. Women's Olympic Soccer Team's opening-round match is on July 25 against France in Glasgow, Scotland. For more information on the team's full Olympic match schedule, visit http://www.ussoccer.com/Tournaments/Olympic-Games-Women/2012-Olympic-Games.aspx.
