NASDAQ 100 Mid-day Update: Higher Top Performers: AKAM, STX, WFM

New York, July 26th (TradersHuddle.com) - The NASDAQ 100 Index is higher trading at 2580.93, which represents 1.24% versus its previous close. The index is mixed for the day with slightly more than 50% of its components on the green.

Akamai (NASDAQ:AKAM) is the NASDAQ 100's top performer today with the stock trading at $34.76 representing 23.04% from its previous trading session. Shares of Akamai, the provider of delivery services for streaming media have defined support at $28.03 and resistance at $30.75.

Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) is also among the top performers, and it is trading at $29.63 representing 12.6% from its previous close. Seagate, the maker of hard drives and storage solutions, has calculated support and resistance levels at $25.51 and $27.98 respectively. The other top performer of the NASDAQ 100 is Whole Foods (NASDAQ:WFM), which is trading at $92.65 representing 9.61% from its previous close.

The NASDAQ 100's worst performers include Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), which is trading at $57.18 or -5.14% from the prior close. Shares of Netflix, the online video rental company have defined support at $65.60 and resistance at $86.65. Also among the worst performers O'Reilly (NASDAQ:ORLY), which is trading at $85.6 representing -4.99% from the previous session.

The NASDAQ 100 is underperfoming the Dow Jones but is pretty much equal with the S&P 500. The Dow Jones Industrial Index is currently trading at 12863.4, which represents 1.48% from previous close, the S&P 500, on the other hand, is trading at 1356.77 that represents 1.41% from its previous close.
