Sector Wrap Up - Brokers Declined: ETFC, MS, SCHW

etfc New York, August 3rd (TradersHuddle.com) - The overall market traded higher with the S&P 500 adding 1.9%. Stocks of Broker / Dealers also traded higher, with NYSE Broker/Dealer index closing the session at $78.423, which represents 4.71% versus previous day close. The index , it had 10 out of 10 components trading higher.

E*TRADE (NASDAQ:ETFC) was the top performer of the sector today, closing at $7.89 representing 7.57% versus the previous trading session. Shares of E*TRADE, the online brokerage and financial services provider for individual retail investors, have defined support at $7.08 and resistance at $7.76.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) was also among the top performers, closed the trading session at $13.78 representing 5.76% from its previous close. Morgan Stanley, the operator of a global securities business has calculated support and resistance levels at $12.29 and $13.75 respectively. The other top performer was Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW), which closed the trading session at $12.8 representing 4.75% from the previous session.

The sector's worst performers include Nomura (NYSE:NMR) that closed the trading session at $3.49 or 0.87% from the previous close. Shares of Nomura, the global finanicial services company based in Tokyo, Japan have defined support at $3.13 and resistance at $3.62. Also among the worst performers was Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR), which closed the trading session at $13.69 representing 2.09% from the previous session.
