Cummins Power Generation Announces New 2 MW Mobile Generator Set

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cummins Power Generation Inc., a division of Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI), announced the availability of a 2 MW mobile generator set for the North American market. The new 60 Hz model, the C2000D6RG, is built on the proven Cummins QSK60 engine and incorporates a number of features especially designed for rental applications. This unit is ready for immediate order and shipment as of September 2012.

The C2000D6RG is a fully integrated mobile power generation system that can be used for both standby and prime power applications. The unit includes a robust cooling system designed for operation in severe temperature requirements. With a B20 biodiesel fuel-compatible engine and 110% total system fluid containment, this genset also meets strict environmental requirements.  This new 2 MW generator set package with the reliable Tier 2 QSK60 Cummins diesel engine is being released as part of Cummins Power Generation's Transition Program for Equipment Manufacturers (TPEM).

Other features of special value to rental users include a 1631-gallon dual-walled fuel tank, three-way fuel valves, interior service lighting, 100-amp shore power, a GPS for remote monitoring and a PCC3201 controller with an easy-to-use interface.
